Bugatti Chiron Super Car Build – National Geographic International

A one of a kind behind the scenes documentary, Bugatti Chiron Supercar Build is a unique film about the inception and development of the World’s Fastest Car that we produced for National Geographic International.

In 2005 the automotive world was shocked when Bugatti debuted the Veyron.

It was a technological masterstroke and overnight became the most expensive, most exclusive, and fastest production supercar ever made!

But ten years later even the best records erode. Competitors have closed the gap. The market has changed. People now openly wonder whether outright speed still matters…

In order to survive Bugatti needs a new machine.

The brand must not only prove their engineering mettle but also their lavish ‘cost is not a concern’ lifestyle ethos still has a place in today’s automotive world. It sounds easy but is remarkably difficult to achieve because they must defend the automotive world’s highest high-performance crown.

The original Veyron was built to satisfy 4 mandates; Break the 400 k/ph barrier in a street legal production car, go 0-100 k/ph in 3 seconds or under, feature a 1,000 horsepower engine, and finally, allow one to arrive at the opera in style.

Ten years later the next gen machine must do everything better and more importantly, move all four targets even further out of the reach, in order to hold on to their World Record as the fastest production super sports car ever made.

It’s an exponentially harder challenge. Now a small team of ultra competitive, completely consumed, and nearly fanatical engineers are hell bent on ensuring that the marque remains the World’s Fastest Production Supercar.

If building the Veyron was akin to breaking the sound barrier, then building the Chiron takes everything to Mach 2!

Bugatti Chiron Supercar Build is the definitive documentary film on the World’s Fastest Car.

Mega Factories Ferrari FF – National Geographic

Mega Factories Ferrari FF – A very special documentary film that we produced for the National Geographic Channel.

A rare look inside the new Ferrari factory where they are building the Ferrari FF, the first four-wheel drive Ferrari with four full size seats.

The FF’s 12 cylinder engine is one of the most powerful engine ever built at the factory in Marnello with 651 Horsepower. The engine block is actually cast there and must go through multiple quality checks before it’s ready to join the final assembly line.

The FF’s unique four-wheel drive system uses a seven speed dual-clutch manual transmission which sits at the back of the car to off set the weight of the V12 engine and achieve better total balance for this unique vehicle.

There is a second transmission at the front of the engine and this is the unit that makes the Ferrari FF’s four wheel drive system revolutionary. Ferrari emphasizes that its four wheel drive system is intended primarily for all weather capability. Normally the FF sends power from its from mounted V12 just to the rear wheels.

Mega Factories Porsche 911 – National Geographic

Mega Factories Porsche 911 – A behind the scenes documentary look at the birth of perhaps the most famous sportscar ever made.  Produced for the National Geographic Channel.

The challenge of redesigning the Porsche 911, an automotive icon.

This is the 7th generation of the car and while it clearly looks like a 911 it is virtually brand new in terms of size, design, and performance. It may just be the best Porsche 911 ever.

Designers and engineers faced a double challenge. Not only did the have to redesign the car but they had to redesign part of the original Porsche factory in which the car is built.

It wasn’t easy to do either. The legendary 911 has a league of loyal fans who don’t like change and the factory is located in the middle of an officially declared historic district and nothing could be changed on the outside of the complex that would change the way it looks.

One of several films that we produced for Nat Geo’s famous strand – Mega Factories Porsche 911.

And in terms of speed for your dollar, the top of the line Mustang, the Shelby 550 GT, has a top speed of 200 miles an hour yet a base price of approximately $65,000.

There’s no other car available that comes close in terms of bang for your buck in top speed.

A rare look inside the Corvette Mega Factory which produces the ZR1—a genuine American Super Car. It is the fastest, most powerful Corvette ever built.

The ZR1 has 638 Horsepower and is fitted out with Carbon fiber body parts, ceramic disc brakes, and an all aluminum powertrain.

Design and Built under the code name ‘Blue Devil’, the ZR1 was actually developed not as part of an approved company plan but as a secret project based on an off handed comment by the head of General Motors.

Ultimate Factories Porsche Panamera – National Geographic

Ultimate Factories Porsche Panamera is a behind the scenes look at perhaps the most controversial Porsche model ever made. Produced for the National Geographic Channel.

Its badge is legendary in both automotive circles and corporate boardrooms. It’s price exclusive. And its moxie? Unquestioned.

Only now it has four-doors and fits full-sized adults in the back seats comfortably.

Welcome to the brand new Porsche Panamera.

A four-door, four-seat sedan filled with copious amounts of luxury and a vim and vigor that pushes the concept of what a sedan can be forward in a way that only a company such as Porsche could manage to create.

For a mere $173,050 you can buy four movies tickets at the local cineplex and a rocket of a way to get your family to the movies in style.

(That’s $173,000 for the machine & $50 for the tickets if you were wondering).

It is a shockingly new take on what a machine from Zuffenhausen, Germany can be – after all the name Porsche has been synonymous with automotive evolution not exactly complete automotive revolution.
